Our Mission

Music Makes Miracles is devoted to improving the brain development in premature and full-term babies.

Music Makes Miracles currently helps to accomplish this goal by supplying playlist cards and boomboxes to play CDs to the Mother-Baby and NICU wards at Piedmont Regional Midtown in Columbus, GA. The playlists can be found on the playlists tab. The music in the CDs was developed by Dr. Andreas Vollenweider and can be found here.

In 2019, Kaleigh Griswell, a senior at Harris County High School, under the mentorship of Harris County Band Director Miranda Carlsen, developed this project to extend music to the community, as music s been a large part of her life. Griswell was a NICU baby, and this program means as much to her as she hopes it does to you and your newborns!
